Q: What are the rules for noise? Are there quiet hours?
A: Please be respectful of your neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum. Garrett County noise ordinances are applicable which prohibit unnecessary noises that disturb the peace and quiet of the community. This includes playing music at unreasonable times. Quiet hours are 10 PM–7 AM, with a sound level limit of 55 dBA within 50 feet of a residence.
Q: Are golf carts permitted?
A: Only electric (no gas) powered golf carts are allowed. Drivers must be 16 years old and must stay on POA roads and trails.
Q: Are ATV's permitted?
A: ATV's may only be used on your personal property. ATV's are not permitted on POA property, roads or trails.
Q: When are the docks put back in the lake in the Spring?
A: There isn't a defined date that the docks are put back in. It is dependent on weather and the availability of our maintenance company. Typically around the end of April. The POA will put out an announcement when a date is known.

Q: Where can I park to access the east side beach?
A: Cars and trucks may not park in the circle on Hidden Cove Ct (Heron Cove East). For access to the east side docks, you may load and unload at the trailhead (please do not drive on the trail). You may park at the tennis court parking lot.
Q: Can the Heron Cove POA reassign my boat slip?
A: No, Heron Cove POA's bylaws do not permit the POA's officers or board of directors to reassign or switch anyone's assigned slips. If two homeowners mutually agree to trade slips, they may request to do so.
